One historic Texas landmark is giving new meaning to the term “underground music” this holiday season

Natural Bridge Caverns in San Antonio is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its “Christmas at the Caverns” with an extra-special lineup of activities and entertainment, including a series of holiday concerts hosted in the Ballroom, a new one-of-a-kind event space dubbed "the deepest underground event venue in Texas."

This year’s “season of celebration” at Natural Bridge Caverns kicks off on Saturday, December 2nd with holiday favorites including Caroling in the Cavern, a walkable Trail of Lights, a Reindeer Maze, a giant Christmas tree, holiday treats, and appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus. And for the first time, the festivities will extend past Christmas with a series of Live Underground Concerts through December 30.

“Our Live Underground concerts have been so popular, when we were looking for a way to celebrate our 10th anniversary, it seemed like the perfect way to extend the festivities,” Brad Wuest, president of Natural Bridge Caverns, said in a news release.

Scheduled series performers include Zack Walther Band on December 21st, Scotty Alexander on December 26th, Matt Castillo on December 28th, with more to come.

Discovered in 1960 by local cavers, Natural Bridge Caverns is the largest cavern in Texas and continued to be explored regularly.
