It's getting hot, which means Texans are hitting the rivers for one of our favorite summer pasttimes: tubing.
If you're getting ready to go tubing on the Guadalupe River, one of Texas' most popular spots, here's what you should know.

Memorial Day weekend is often known as the unofficial start for the tubing season, but things will be a little different this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Tubers must follow social distancing guidelines. Only come tubing with those in your household. If you are sick or have been sick recently, stay home.

There are a few entrance points on the Guadalupe River to choose from. Some of the most popular are in New Braunfels.

Parks are currently open at limited capacity from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. River Acres Park and Cypress Bend Park are entrances and exits currently open with limited capacity.
A float on the river can range from one hour up to six hours, depending on the route you take.

Once you figure out your entrance point, you’ll likely need to find a river outfitter for parking, shuttle services back to your car, and tube rental if needed.
Prices usually range from $15-$22 per person and include shuttle services, tube rental, and fees. You can find a list of outfitters on playinnewbraunfels.com.
