Join Headwaters at the Comal this Saturday, September 14th for an exciting SEAM Series program taking a closer look at one of the most interesting types of birds in our area!
Owls are a very important part of our ecosystem and a few different species call New Braunfels and Comal County home. Studying owl pellets gives us a chance to see what exactly these nocturnal predators are eating. Lab includes: owl pellet, dissection tools, and bone sorting chart.

This program is aimed at students in the Kindergarten-3rd Grade range. During these monthly classes, our SEAM (science, engineering, art, and math) curriculum takes an unplugged approach to science. Lessons take place in our outdoor pavilion, helping to return students and families to nature. By holding these programs outdoors, children are able to see many of the concepts they're learning in action, not just seeing on a screen or in a book. All activities are hands-on, helping to build a deeper, more tangible connection to science and nature through these programs.
Please call 830-608-8937 or email info@headwatersatthecomal.org for more information or if you have any questions.
A special thank you to Quiddity for sponsoring this program and to Professor Graybeard for leading all of our SEAM Series programs!
