Gruene 10K & 5K – Run to the Rhythm of Texas!

Run, celebrate and make a day of it in historic Gruene! The Gruene 10K, 5K & Kids K returns Saturday, September 12, starting and finishing at iconic Gruene Hall.

This is more than a race — it’s a uniquely Gruene experience! Participants will enjoy original commissioned race artwork, handcrafted wooden finisher medals created by a Kerrville-area artist, race-day photography, enthusiastic water station hosts, finish-line refreshments, recovery smoothies, Shiner beer and plenty of surprises along the way. A portion of race proceeds will also benefit the OYOU Foundation (Own Your Own Universe), supporting access to music and the creative arts.

Bring the whole family! The Kids K begins at 7:30 AM, followed by the 10K Run/Walk at 7:45 AM and 5K Run/Walk at 8:00 AM.

And don’t head home after you cross the finish line! Stick around for the awards, then make a day of exploring Gruene. Grab a mimosa, wine or beer at The Grapevine and enjoy live music by Andi Hollemon immediately following the awards ceremony. Show your race bib at Gristmill River Restaurant & Bar for free ice cream with an entrée purchase on race day, shop the new H.D. Gruene Mercantile, play a round at Gruene Mini Golf, and catch free live music at Gruene Hall throughout the day.

Whether you’re racing the 10K, tackling the 5K, bringing the kids for their own finish-line moment or simply looking for a great reason to spend a Saturday in Gruene, come be part of a race that celebrates running, Texas art, live music and community.
