El Camino Real Day is a statewide celebration of the historic trail that runs through our property on Church Hill Drive. We have recently been certified by the National Park Service as an Interprative Site on the trail. Come out to learn about the trail and participate in art activities, learn how to tan hides, seek and recognize native plants and learn how to use them, listen and look for birds in our forest, and help us clear established walking paths through the woods that surround the Museum of Texas Handmade Furniture. Bring a picnic lunch to share under heritage oak trees on the property and stroll through our village. You will understand why this was a place to stop on many historic journeys.
