Some of the bluest water in Texas isn’t at a beach, but rather at Cypress Bend Park in New Braunfels. Offering direct access to the blue-green Guadalupe River, this waterfront oasis is a must-visit when the weather is warm. Not only is the park the last public exit for those tubing the river, but with ample shade and amenities such as a playground and BBQ pits, it’s ideal for spending some fun in the sun.
The Guadalupe River is renowned for its peaceful, blue-green waters, and Cypress Bend Park in New Braunfels is one of the best places to experience them.

Encompassing nearly 17 acres of land, the park is named after the majestic cypress trees that line the riverbanks. Visitors can enjoy direct river access for swimming, kayaking, tubing, and other water recreation activities.

In addition to immersing yourself in the refreshing water, you can also enjoy a leisurely stroll along the river. If you aren't in the mood to get wet or forgot a change of clothes (it happens to the best of us!), this is a great way to still experience the remarkable beauty of this natural area.

There is a small beach ideal for setting up some lounge chairs, cracking open a cold drink, and relaxing the day away with your toes in the sand. If the beach is already crowded when you arrive, however, don't worry - it is by no means the only point of access to the river!

Other park amenities include a playground, BBQ pits, clean restrooms, parking, a pavilion, and a large grassy area.
