Spring Fever Fest Bursts into Bloom at the Caverns March 28

Music, Wildflowers & Family Fun – Spring Fever Fest Returns

This free Spring Festival includes educational activities, an Easter Egg hunt (with a bat!) and more.

Spring doesn’t tiptoe into Natural Bridge Caverns – it bursts in with music, wildflowers, and the hum of pollinators at work. Beginning March 28, Spring Fever Fest transforms the Caverns into a month-long celebration of live music, hands-on discovery, free family fun, and fresh ways to bring new life to your own backyard.

Fun is the focus at Spring Fever Fest. The free event (the Caverns do have a $10 parking fee) will connect guests with nature in big ways. Along with opportunities to learn everything from potting succulents to tips on identifying native Texas plants, there are cornhole games, dining options, and crafts. Spring Fever Fest takes place every weekend, from 11 am to 3 pm, March 28th through April 19th.

“Living and working in the Hill Country has taught me how closely we’re tied to the land,” said Joye Wuest. “Every bloom, every butterfly, every returning bird is part of a much bigger story. We created Spring Fever Fest to celebrate that story and to give people simple, practical ways to nurture it at home.”

Long recognized for their efforts to fill the park with native plants that support pollinators, the team at Natural Bridge Caverns is planning a whole host of additional bonus activities each weekend of Spring Fever Fest including:

March 28 & 29 – Be a Bird Buddy! Learn how to make hummingbird nectar, build and maintain bird feeders, and even how to make a butterfly puddler.

April 4 – Easter Egg Hunt with a Bat? Move aside, Easter Bunny, the Easter Batty is here! Join in the fun with our very own Easter Bat who has scattered eggs all around the meadow.

April 11 & 12 - Time to Pot. From succulents to herbs to natives, our landscape team will be on hand to teach you how to pot – including the right soil mix for each plant.

April 18 & 19 – Bee brave! We will have all the cool things beekeepers use - except for bees (this is a stinger free event). Learn the important job bees do every day!
