Summer is not complete without a trip to Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels. The "World's Best Water Park" for over two decades has been a yearly trip for our family since the early 1990s.
Schlitterbahn features several different sections under one destination in New Braunfels.
This is where our family calls our home base. We pick an open, shaded picnic table when the park opens, and place our cooler full of drinks and snacks there. Then, it's off to the hottest, coolest time in Texas.
This park features signature attractions such as the uphill water coaster Dragon's Revenge, the not-so-lazy Kristal River, Boogie Bahn Surfing Ride, and Kiddie Coast.
Just a short walk from Surfenburg is where you will find the best uphill water coaster in the world, the iconic Master Blaster. It's over six stories tall and over 1000 feet in length.
The Wolf Pack, Black Knight, and Torrent River** are also featured inside Blastenhoff.
**There has been a change when it comes to the safety regulations of the Torrent River. ALL participants must wear life jackets for this attraction. Those who are 18 years of age and older may request an exemption from the requirement to wear a life jacket by signing a NB Waiver and Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement form. The document must be signed in person at the park. A form of identification must be presented before signing the waiver form.
This is the largest section of Schlitterbahn - New Braunfels. This is where you will find Schatze’s Storybrook Park (featuring the world's first water coaster for kids), racing slides, and numerous tube rides, some of which empty into the Comal.
