    Features a gravel boat ramp and ample parking. A premier entry point for Guadalupe River kayaking.
  • Guadalupe River Turnaround
    420 N. Elliot Knox Blvd.
    Access leads into Lake Dunlap. Paddle upriver to experience the Guadalupe or downriver for a Lake Dunlap paddle.

Access Points on the Comal River

  • Hinman Island Park
    Hinman Island Dr.
    Convenient access to the Comal River; limited parking, boats must be carried.
  • Landa Park
    Offers scenic surroundings and river access; limited parking, boats must be carried.
  • Last Public Exit

Suggested Routes

  • Cypress Bend Park to The Confluence: Paddle from Cypress Bend Park down the Guadalupe River to where it meets the Comal River, then continue exploring the Comal for a diverse paddling experience.
  • Lake Dunlap Paddle: Launch from the Guadalupe River Turnaround for a calm, scenic paddle on Lake Dunlap.

Important Regulations & Restrictions

  • Vessel Length: Water vessels over 18 feet are not permitted on these rivers.
  • Last Exit Access: No access to the Last Exit on weekends and holidays from May 1 through October 1.
  • Peak Season: Expect higher traffic during summer months; plan accordingly for the best experience.
